Essex Topcrop Sales Ltd., located in Essex, Ontario, announced today that it will sell the pet specialty distribution portion of its business to Leis Pet Distributing, based in Wellesley, Ontario and partnered with Le Gastronome in Quebec and operating as Atlantic Pet out of Moncton, N.B..
Essex will continue to operate with a focus on their seed manufacturing business, and Leis will be the exclusive distributor in Ontario and the Maritimes for Topcrop’s manufactured bird and small animal products in addition to acquiring the pet distribution business.
The sale is set to close July 7th with shipping commencing July 14th to Topcrop customers.
